The Godalming and Farncombe Bowling Club’s green occupies a central area of the Phillips Memorial Park. The Park, which includes the Bury’s Field, is situated in the central area of Godalming Town and provides the central point for the town’s social activities including Fetes, Youth Football, Band Concerts as well as bowling. In addition with the River Wey running along it’s perimeter, provides the Riverside Walk, Library and car park as well a beautiful area for children to play and families to picnic.

The Godalming and Farncombe Club itself is steeped in history being the second oldest club in Surrey formed in 1867.the original bowling green being situated near the Phillips Memorial cloisters.
